This Sunday, June 7 is the Feast of Corpus Christi — two months after Holy Thursday, at the end of Easter Season — where we commemorate the beautiful mystery of God’s gift of Himself to us on the Eucharist.
As part of this Solemn Celebration, we will be having a Eucharistic Procession. This procession will begin at 6:45 p.m. at St. Patrick’s Church, Hampton. Following the procession, a meal will be served at St. Patrick’s. All are invited to join us for any or all of this!
From the Church we will process to Hwy. 65 to head South in sidewalk along Hwy. 65. We will then turn right (west) at the road by First Christian Church (6th. Ave. NE). Then we will turn right (north) on 1st St. NW by swimming pool park, towards the high school. We will process back and conclude our prayers at St. Patrick’s.
If you would like to participate, but do not feel you could walk the full length (about 1.5 miles), you could either:
1) Join us for the opening prayers at the church and remain there in prayer while we process, until we join you back at the Church for the closing prayers.
2) Sit at any point along the route and pray as we go by or join us for whatever part you can.
But why a Eucharistic Procession? Three reasons:
1) Adoration: For us, first, it is simply an act of worship. Worship of the Lord present to us in the Eucharist. And it can be a profound act of worship, not only to engage with our minds and hearts, but exert ourselves, engaging our bodies in worship as we physically walk, and raise our voices in song and prayer.
2) Intercession: It is also an act of prayer on behalf of our community. As we walk, we offer to the Lord all the members of our community and ask Him to send down his grace and blessing upon them.
3) Public Witness: We also give public witness to our faith. We point with this act to Jesus Christ, to His beautiful gift of Himself in the Eucharist, a gift he desires all people to share in. We give witness to those who don’t yet believe, with a prayer that it may raise their minds and hearts to God, inspire them to seek the Lord more fully and inspire conversion.

7 de junio – Procesión de Corpus Christi
Hoy el 7 de junio es la Fiesta de Corpus Christi — dos meses después del Jueves Santo, al final de la Pascua — donde conmemoramos el hermoso misterio del don de Dios a nosotros en la Eucaristía.
Como parte de esta celebración solemne, realizaremos una Procesión Eucarística. Esta procesión comenzará a las 6:45 p.m. en la Iglesia San Patricio, Hampton. Después de la procesión, habrá una cena en San Patricio. ¡Todos están invitados para participar de todo el evento o partes!
Desde la Iglesia, procesionaremos hasta la autopista 65 para dirigirnos hacia el sur en la acera a lo largo de la autopista 65. Luego, doblaremos a la derecha (oeste) hacia la calle de la First Christian Church (6th. Ave. NE). Luego doblaremos a la derecha (norte) en 1st St. NW por el parque de la piscina hacia la escuela secundaria. Regresaremos en procesión y concluiremos nuestras oraciones en San Patricio.
Si te gustaría participar, pero no puedes caminar la distancia total (alrededor de 1.5 millas), podrías:

Pero ¿Por qué una Procesión Eucarística? Tres razones:
1) Adoración: Para nosotros, en primer lugar, es simplemente un acto de adoración. El culto al Señor presente en la Eucaristía. Y puede ser un profundo acto de adoración, no sólo para comprometernos con nuestras mentes y corazones; sino también, esforzarnos, involucrando nuestros cuerpos en la adoración mientras caminamos físicamente, y elevamos nuestras voces en canto y oración.
2)Intercesión: También es un acto de oración en nombre de nuestra comunidad. Mientras caminamos, ofrecemos al Señor a todos los miembros de nuestra comunidad y le pedimos que envíe su gracia y bendición sobre ellos.
3)Testimonio Público: Damos testimonio público de nuestra fe. Con este acto señalamos a Jesucristo, a su hermoso don de sí mismo en la Eucaristía — un don que desea que todas las personas compartan. Damos testimonio a los que aún no creen con una oración para que eleve sus mentes y corazones a Dios, inspirarlos a buscar al Señor más plenamente e inspirar la conversión.
