What happens when two Lutherans, a Catholic, and a Calvinist study Scripture together? In the case of our weekly text study, fruitful and thoughtful conversation about God, the call of Christian discipleship, and good ideas for preaching.
The idea for Psalms for the Summer was dreamed up at our weekly pastors’ text study. As we so enjoy accompanying one another on our journeys of faith, we wanted to invite others into a similar experience: to read the Bible together, to pray together, and to learn from the perspective of other Christian faith traditions. We shared the idea of this devotion book with many of colleagues in ministry, who also desire to learn from open conversation with ecumenical voices.
