The Octave of Christmas!
Just a brief word today to say, “Merry Christmas!” May the wonder and beauty of the Mystery of Christmas shine ever more brightly, and be instilled ever more deeply in your hearts this Christmas season.
This week for the Octave of Christmas the daily Mass schedule will be different, as we will have a couple special celebrations:
Mon., Dec. 26: NO MASS
Tues., Dec. 27, 5:30 p.m., Hampton – Feast of St. John the Apostle: We will have a Mass on Tuesday Evening. There is a tradition of blessing and drinking wine for the feast of St. John! So, if you’re able to join us, feel free to bring wine that you would like to have blessed; as well as, Hors d’Oeuvres, appetizers, or snacks to share for a little social after Mass. After Mass I will provide some hot spiced wine as well as hot spiced apple cider (for those who don’t want to drink wine!) So join us for Mass and a little social!
Wed., Dec. 28, 5:30 p.m., Hampton – Feast of the Holy Innocents: Wednesday we will have a Mass to pray for all parents and godparents that have lost children. It is a way to invite the Mystery of Christmas to enter more deeply into those places of grief. If you ore anyone you know have lost children or grandchildren, please, join us and invite other to join as well. All faiths are welcome. Dinner will follow.
Thurs., Dec. 29, 8:30 a.m., Ackley – Feast of Saint Thomas Becket: In Ackley, social with coffee and treats to follow.
Peace and Merry Christmas!
